DALLAS, TEXAS - We are officially less than one week away from Christmas and many on social media are worried about the inevitable persecution for saying "Merry Christmas."

"I'm so scared", Jennifer said. "This is the only time a year I witness for Jesus and I do that by saying 'Merry Christmas' to people at the store after they say it first to me."

Others waxed bold by sharing a meme on Facebook that has a picture of a minion on it dressed in Christmas garb, saying,

I wonder if I said 'Merry Christmas', How many friends would say it back? Share on your profile and see!!

Many felt compelled to do so, showing their great boldness for the Lord. Some went as far to say, "Keep Christ in Christmas".

Christian fundamentalists promised to say, "Merry Christmas, Infidels!" to any and all people they known aren't Christians, or to those that they disagree with about some pet doctrine.

But fear looms over the head of many this week, afraid of what the repercussions for saying "Merry Christmas" in America, might be. "It will be a Silent Night and Silent Week for me", Martha said. "I don't want to offend anyone by saying 'Merry Christmas'."
